What a lovely old town and a quaint hotel. Most of the group had rooms in the portion of the hotel over the bar. We were right next door in a ground level room overlooking a lovely patio.
The town was founded over 500 years ago so this morning we started out with a walking our that took us through the lovely old, cobblestoned streets with wall-to-wall colonial buildings, horse drawn carts, classic cars and quaint shops.
We visited the nearby quaint library. In recent years we have tried to visit libraries as they are often architecturally interesting and imminently photographable. Our guide said he liked to give visitors the opportunity to see things from the perspective of the locals…hence a stop at the library.
The walk took us by many art shops…
and dozens of interesting doors.
