This morning the itinerary had us going to an automotive shop where they restore classic cars. However, there was a big classic car rally going on today so we went to that instead.
Fifty-four old cars and about 18 motorcycles.
Volkswagen bugs...
cars that looked like they were from the 20's,
And this guy that looked like it had come straight from Britain.
We watched as they all lined up, checked in and headed out, about a minute or two apart.
We even saw the 54 Buick that we had taken a ride in the day before.
And the motorcycles.

From there we headed over to Callejon de Hamel. This colorful alleyway was filled with eclectic art.
We toured the home of artist Salvador Gonzáles Escalona, who inspired the alley.
The house had a number of "altars".
The area is also focus of Santeria which stems from the Yoruba religion. Yoruba came from Nigeria with the slaves. Many Yoruba people are Christian or Muslim.
We were there
on Sunday, when they have a big concert.
We enjoyed some of it but were then hustled off for lunch.

After lunch it was off to see a performance by the Habana Compás, a very good acapella group...lots of drumming on drums and things that aren't drums.
We were then scheduled to go to Revolution Square but since we stopped there on our classic car tour yesterday we all agreed we didn’t need to go back.
